Zolder Race 1

So.... the long weekend has gone by and last Friday was our first race of the season for the Endurance4Fun championship in Zolder... and guess what happened?!?!?!?! Yeeeeees we made it to the podium!!!! With a brilliant🥈P2!!!! 🍾🥂🤩
We can’t even start to explain how happy we still are... one could say that we’re still flying in a pink cloud since we saw the 🏁at the end of the race 🤣

Let us now get down from it for just one second and tell you how it all went:
Q1 was done by Saskia, she had the mission of baptizing our new break-pads and being our ambassador in the first qualifying session of the season!
Q2 was cancelled because of a multi-bikes crash during free riding but Ine could take some time during free riding to test the bike.

Q3 was Sonja’s time to shine, but when she came back she was not happy at all with the set up of the bike so we took all the time we had to try to find a set up that could be convenient for everyone.. luckily we could test it and all the riders were happy with the changes!
So 14h30 was approaching and it was time to start the game!
We started from 4th position in our class and 9th in the general classification.
Ine rode the first stint and despite the 🌧weather she broke her PR with a brilliant 1.50.8! 💪🏻

Saskia was in charge of the middle stint and she did it brilliantly breaking also her CPF PR with a 1.51.7 in the middle of a dry-wet-dry track! 🙌🏻
Sonja was the last one to jump on the bike and she had the mission to finish the race!
And things got really exiting when we saw that a podium could be possible... until the weather started to change and raindrops started falling heavily... but when life gives her lemons... a Sonja well encouraged by Nora takes some salt and makes tequila! 🤪 she became the fastest rider at a moment and that gave us the 3rd place and the battle for 2nd position began! 😱 every lap she was getting closer and closer but time was running out! Her last lap was also her fastest one with a 1.49.6 🎉
The result?... Veidec team was riding at the front and run out of fuel in the last lap 😣 which gave us a 2nd place and a gap with the guys of Bandenbox, who got the 1st place, of 1.7seconds! 😱

We are so proud of our team! Our #DirtyFour girls made an amazing job and our 3 mousquetaires Peter, Eric and Fred together with Mieke were there to make sure that everything was perfect!!! 🤩
