So... Last Thursday it was the first official race of this crazy 2021 for our CPF Ladies and what a day it was!
Saskia and Nora took the CPF colours and the number "#34, the 1st" (#341) to participate in the Short Endurance.
It was Saskia's 2nd endurance race of the year, after the practice race in April and Nora's debut as a CPF pilot. And how did it go? Well, let us tell you more about it!
Qualifying was a bit hectic in the morning thanks to the typical Belgian weather... not dry enough for slicks, not wet enough for rain tyres. But starting from the Q3 things went better so our ladies could go out to set some times. In the end we qualified 11th SSP with a 1:45.613.
At 3pm the race started with Saskia taking the start, our girls rode 4 stints of 30 min between them, lapping around their personal bests times and with constant times. Nora finished then the race while even seting a new PR for her as well.
And as you know, Endurance races are not only won or lost in the track they're also won and lost outside of it. And our girls had the most amazing team taking care of everything from the pitlane with absolute perfection includding Two members of the original CPF team: Mieke and Daniëlle , thank you both for your big support, help and love for CPF.
And alongside them, Sara and Al Fred's superpowers completed our amazing superhero crew! It was great to have you 4 there with us thanks for helping us make this happen!
It was a day full of emotions, but better than telling you more about them, you can really see them in these pictures We describe them best as "racing with friends"
We want to thank our sponsors who made this possible:
